The New Delhi Chapter was established on 3rd May 1992 as an extention to the Kolkata Chapter in order to expand the base of Friends of Tribals Society pan India. FTS Delhi was established under the aegis of Shri R.P. Khaitan, Shri Satya Prakash Mangal, Smt. Barkha Agarwal, Shri Prem Goyal, Shri Anil Jaju & Shri Vijay Maroo. Since then it is on the path of growing year on year.
Friends of Tribals Society (FTS) is a non – government voluntary organisation committed towards holistic development of the tribal villages of rural Bharat by providing five-fold education namely Functional Literacy, Health Care / Arogya, Development Education / Gramothan, Empowerment, Sanskar & Value Education.

President Note

I was introduced to the Ekal movement in 2005 and immediately thereafter went for EkalKumbh in Indore and became an integral part of Ekal. In 2005 went with Ma Shyamji to USA for the International Conference of Ekal and in 2007 became Global Co-ordinator and General Secretary of EVFI till 2013 . From 2015 to 2021 I served as Secretary of FTS Delhi. In 2023 became Working President of FTS Delhi and on the sad and unexpected demise of Arun Rai ji, took over as President. I am extremely grateful to the office bearers and the members of the executive committee who have whole heartedly supported me and are all along guiding me and teaching me to the intricacies of running the chapter. I am still learning every day from the seniors Shri RajkumarKarwa& Shri Vijay Maroo and also from our Sevavratis who I believe are the pillars and back bone of the EKAL Movement. The team of FTS Delhi is fully charged and geared up to contribute in the growth of this movement.
