The foundation of Ekal Abhiyan – Surat chapter was laid in 1997 with “Ram Katha” by Shree Vijay Kaushal Ji Maharaj but Friends of Tribals Society “Van Bandhu Parishad” Surat Chapter was officially established on 20-05-2021. Amongst the founder members, Shree Mahendra Kumar Choudhary as President Shree Indrachand Baid as Secretary, Shree Suresh Agarwal (Rupa) as Treasurer and Shree Rajkumar Agarwala’s Organisation Secretary were entrusted with the responsibility of the newly formed chapter.

Respected Shri Shyam Ji Gupt, Shri Purshottamdas Chitlangiya, Shri Rameshwarlal Kabra, and Shree Sajjan Bhajjanka, along with other revered members of Van Bandhu Parishad from different places, graced this auspicious occasion. The presence of esteemed members Enriched the event, which commenced with a morning Havan Pujan followed by the inauguration ceremony of the chapter at 10 o’clock.

In the early evening, Shree Manas Mandal Surat Organised a grand Sundarkand Paath. On the same day, a significant gathering of Mahila Samiti was also convened. Alongside the main coordinators of the Surat chapter, the Mahila Samiti also determined and committed itself in uplifting the tribal community through various initiatives of Van Bandhu Parishad.
