The Mahila Samiti, Delhi Chapter, successfully organized a devotional celebration of Shri Ganesh Utsav. The event was graced by the Special Guest, Mrs. Shanta Sharda, Rashtriya Sangathan Mantri and Vice President, Mahila Samiti, whose presence added great value and inspiration to the program.
On 24th August 2024, the Chapter Committee and the Mahila Samiti of Friends of Tribals Society, Delhi Chapter, jointly organized a food distribution drive with the support of Akshay Seva Sanstha. Around 12:00 PM, approximately 500 people were served food outside AIIMS Hospital, New Delhi.
On 12th August at 11:30 AM, Mahila Samiti visited the Ekal office located in Okhla, where they tied rakhis to the office Karyakarta and offered sweets. They celebrated the Raksha Bandhan festival warmly by sharing breakfast with the team and fostering a spirit of togetherness.
As in previous years, this year too, 1,250 rakhis were sent to anchal’s for Acharya, Karyakarta and samiti as a gesture of appreciation and bonding.
Report on Group Rudrabhishek and Tree Plantation (Phase III)
Organized by the Executive Committee of the Delhi Mahila Samiti
Under the leadership of North Zone Chairperson Mrs. Veena Kabra and President, Delhi Mahila Samiti Mrs. Jamuna Bangur, around 25 dedicated members of the Delhi Chapter gathered at Shivoham Farms to perform a devotional Rudrabhishek of Lord Shiva.
Following the ceremony, all members participated in completing the third phase of the tree plantation pledge taken on Environment Day. Saplings of mango, lychee, and other plants were planted as part of this green initiative.
The Delhi Mahila Samiti set up a stall at the carnival organized by the Maheshwari Club. Along with Ekal’s Haldi and Mustard Oil, the stall featured famous food products from various states of India—such as garam masala, papad, honey, jhal muri, fruit candy, pickle spices, incense sticks, and more.
With around 300 people attending the carnival, the sales were encouraging. Promotional activities for Ekal’s initiatives were also carried out during the event.
Chapter Samiti and Mahila Samiti organized a Joint Symposium on 16th October, 2022 at PHD House New Delhi. Members of EVFI, EGS were also present in this seminar. Present on the stage were Mr. Sajan Bansal – Chairman ( Arogya Foundation of India), Mr. Ramesh Saraogi – President, (FTS National), Mr. Ramesh Maheshwari -Working President, (FTS National), Mr. Rajesh Goyal – President (Ekal Abhiyan ), Mr. Ravidev Gupta – Chairman (EVFI) mesmerized everyone with their speech. Specially discussed the dimensions related to Ekal. Total 65 members participated in the meeting and presented their views.
