On 27th October 2024, FTS Yuva Jamshedpur hosted Dhanteras Dhamaal at Tumbling Tortilos Cafe, with around 100 participants. The event featured lively conversations, delicious snacks, and a lucky draw with exciting prizes, fostering community spirit and setting a joyful tone for the festive season.
On October 5, 2024, FTS Yuva Jamshedpur hosted a vibrant Navratri celebration at Bal Kalyan Vidya Mandir in Kadma. The event included a storytelling session, mantra chanting, a Navratri-themed quiz, and a Disco Dandiya dance competition. Prizes were awarded to top performers in two age groups, and 150 goody bags were distributed. Chief guest Advocate Rajesh Mittal attended, making the celebration memorable for all, especially for the children.
FTS Yuva Jamshedpur launched the ‘Plants on Wheels’ campaign on June 25, 2024, at Tulsi Bhavan, Jamshedpur. As part of this initiative, 150 fruit-bearing plants are being distributed to various Ekal Vidyalayas.
FTS Yuva Jamshedpur organised a Yoga session on International Yoga Day at Bodhi temple, Sakchi. Around 40 people participated from the age group 18 -85. Smt. Rashmi Garg and Nidhi Mittal attended the session on behalf of FTS Yuva Jamshedpur. Eminent personalities of Jamshedpur like Smt.Alpana Bhattachar Ji, Smt. Purabi Ghosh and DEO Smt. Nirmala Kumari Barelia also attended the session. The session was conducted by Nishita Thamman- a Hatha yoga practitioner and teacher. Isha Foundation volunteers Namrata Shanghari, Mamta Agiwal and Rounak were also present.
World Environment Day, during which 100 trees were planted. With the support of donors and in memory of their loved ones, the initiative aims to plant a total of 200 to 300 trees.
On June 2, 2024, FTS Yuva Jamshedpur held a Vanyatra program in Bhurishol village, South Jharkhand. The members were warmly welcomed by the villagers with traditional ceremonies. The village children were awarded for their participation in various competitions organised by the members and were also given sweets, toffees, fruit drinks, and umbrellas.
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Friends of Tribals Society (FTS) Jamshedpur was held on Sunday 19 May 2024 at Hotel Novanta, Adityapur, Jamshedpur. The program started with the Omkar mantra, lighting of lamp and recitation of Hanuman Chalisa. National Co-ordinator of FTS Yuva Shri Niraj Harodia and MLA Jamshedpur East Shri Saryu Rai were also present on this occasion. President FTS Jamshedpur Sri Rajesh Mittal, East Zone Chairperson Smt Rekha Jain, Jayshree Goyal and Neelam Kedia also addressed the gathering. Gautam Ji was introduced by the president of FTS Yuva Jamshedpur Smt. Rashmi Garg and programme was managed by newly formed FTS Yuva Jamshedpur team.
On March 22, 2024, FTS Yuva Jamshedpur organised a Holi program for economically deprived children at Bal Kalyan Vidya Mandir, Kadma, with the theme “Children are incomplete without colors, and colors are incomplete without children!” The event featured a drawing competition titled “Holi.” All 130 participating children received “Holi hampers.”
On March 15, 2024, the FTS Yuva samity of the Jamshedpur Chapter was formed. Mrs. Rashmi Garg was appointed as the President, Mr. Piyush Kumar Choudhury as the Secretary, Mrs. Nidhi Mittal as the Treasurer, and Mr. Nayan Kedia as the Joint Secretary. The event was attended by Mr. Neeraj Hadodia (FTS Yuva National Coordinator), Mr. Rajesh Mittal (President, FTS Jamshedpur Chapter), Mr. Abhishek Garg (Secretary, Jamshedpur Chapter), and many other FTS chapter members.
