As soon as Sawan starts, this month becomes drenched in saffron color due to the unique Kanwar Yatra of faith and unwavering faith. The whole atmosphere becomes Shiva-like. If anything is heard then it is the echo of Har-Har Mahadev, the slogan of Bol Bam. Everyone is seen engrossed in pleasing Lord Shiva in the month of Sawan. Kanwar Yatra was organized by Bengaluru Mahila Chapter on the occasion of monthly meeting on 8th August, 2023. This event was organized by Mahila Chapter for its members and donors at Mrs. Sunanda Gupta’s ‘Miara Green’ resort. Before the start of Kanwar Yatra, Vice Chairperson of FTS South Zone, Mrs. Sabita Agarwal informed the new members present there about the activities of Ekal. 100-125 devotees including chapter members and donors participated in this Kanwar yatra. There were about 20 new members in this programe. All the people picked up the Kavad and anointed Lord Shiva with water and Panchamrit and performed Aarti in the Shiva temple located at the farm house. All the FTS Members wishes for the well-being of the children of Ekal schools, all the members also recited Hanuman Chalisa. There was also arrangement for lunch, all the members enjoyed the meal.
Ekal – Under the aegis of Friends of Tribals Society, Bengaluru Mahila Chapter organised a dance drama programme ‘Radha Rasbihari’ to collect funds for the all-round development of rural children and villages, on Friday night, July 15, 2022, at Choudiah Memorial Hall.
Radha Rasbihari program was presented by renowned Bollywood actress Hema Malini. Hema Malini has employed her great skills as an artist and a performer to portray Radha. The two-hour long spectacle includes Maharaas, bangle vendors and tattoo vendors as Krishna arrives to woo Radha.
The program organized by Bengaluru Mahila Chapter was very successful. A total of 1000 people including donors, members and well-wisher were present in the program.
Hema Malini said that I have been associated with Ekal for many years. I feel very happy to be associated with Ekal Bengaluru Women’s Chapter, which is the only women’s chapter in the country.
Everyone praised the program a lot. Through this program, Bengaluru Mahila Chapter set a record by collecting 125 schools.
