FTS Yuva Bhopal celebrated Guru Purnima for Shabri Basti Kids with great enthusiasm and reverence, honoring the sacred tradition of paying homage to our Gurus. The event featured serene and powerful chanting of “Om,” An insightful session was conducted explaining the significance of Guru Purnima and Guru mantra chanting. Basti kids participated with great enthusiasm, expressing their artistic views of the theme ‘Rainy season’.The celebration concluded with Gift Distributions and an engaging storytelling session of the moral values of Gurus.
On July 13, 2024, FTS Yuva Bhopal organised a grand felicitation ceremony to honour Mrs. Jyoti Ratre, the oldest Indian woman to summit Mount Everest in 2024. The event, included a series of presentations, an inspirational talk by Mrs. Jyoti Ratre, and concluded with a plantation drive. Additionally, certificates were distributed to students who participated in the “Be a Yoga Star” online competition organised by FTS Yuva Bhopal on International Yoga Day. This segment of the event celebrated the young participants’ dedication to yoga and their achievements.
Under the Shabri Basti project, FTS Yuva samity of Bhopal chapter conducts “The Sunday Pathsala” for children from slum areas. The session begins with Om chanting, followed by the recitation of the Gayatri Mantra. The children actively engage in learning yoga moves, gaining knowledge about culture and values, environment protection, citizenship responsibilities, technical skills, and participating in various fun activities. At the end of the session, they receive a token of reward as a gift.
On May 31, 2024, FTS Yuva Samity, Bhopal Chapter, conducted a health awareness campaign in the city’s slums for “World No Tobacco Day” under shabri Basti project.” The “Youth Health Revolution” initiative educated over 70 participants about the dangers of tobacco use and promoted healthy lifestyles.
FTS Yuva, Bhopal Chapter and Ekal Kids, visited on 23rd March, 2024 a famous brand’s ice cream factory in the city. Around 20 kids explored the fascinating world of ice cream production with their parents. They had a fantastic time learning about the process. Kids also visited a mechanical and electrical manufacturing company and learned about the fabrication process and CNC operations. They also have joyful celebrations of the Holi festival, adding vibrant colors to the experience. The orientation program of FTS Yuva was also done. The day was full of joy and a great learning experience.
On January 21, 2024, FTS Yuva Samity Bhopal chapter celebrated the consecration of Ram Lalla in Shri Ram Temple, Ayodhya, by organizing a food distribution in slum area under Shabari Basti project. They provided food to 500 poor children, men & women, also distributed Diya, Bati and oil for performing Aarti. The youth also recited the Hanuman Chalisa with the children.
Plantation was done in ekal villages. 300 fruit and medicinal plants distributed to 150 Landless laborers and marginal formers. Anchal Prabhari Dr. C. K. Chugh explained benefits about medicinal other plants. Bhopal chapter has been distributed about 3000 plants in 20 villages of Ekal Vidhyalays till date.
On the occasion of 77th Independence Day, a special program was organized. Mahila Samiti present in the program danced on patriotic songs in special dress code on 15th Aug. theme. Wearing Bharat Mata’s dress and carrying the tricolor in hand, gave the message of love and loyalty towards the country. At the end of the program, Bhopal Chapter President Sanjeev Aggarwal and Secretary Rakesh Aggarwal also participated in the program and thanked all the Mahila Samiti for joining the FTS working for the upliftment of tribal children.
Vanyatra was organized by Mahila Samiti on July 6, 2023 (Thursday) in Jamunia and Uchakheda villages of Hoshangabad Anchal. Van Yatra started from Bhopal at 9 am and passing through dense forests and up-and-down paths of forest-dwelling areas, reached Ekal Vidyalaya village Jamunia and Uchakheda where the children of Ekal Vidyalaya carried urns on their heads and traditionally the Vanyatries were welcomed by the Gram Samiti with garlands and tikas.
