On 6th December 2024, FTS Yuva, Gwalior, established a library in the Pediatric Ward of the Cancer Hospital, Gwalior. The library was inaugurated by FTS Yuva Gwalior President, Dr. Santosh Kumar, and Secretary, Ms. Supriya Garg, in the presence of renowned hospital doctors. This initiative aims to inspire young minds, enhance their understanding of cancer, and raise awareness about healthy food choices and their impact on overall health. Additionally, gifts and protein powder boxes were distributed to the children to support their well-being.
FTS Yuva Gwalior organized the Ekal Run – National Women’s Marathon on Sunday, 24th November 2024, uniting 1,500 women in an electrifying celebration of empowerment and fitness. This vibrant event inspired women across the city, fostering solidarity, resilience and independence. It marked a powerful step towards championing women’s empowerment and community spirit in Gwalior.
On 10th October 2024, FTS Yuva Gwalior and Shruti Dance Academy organized the “Navratri Garba & Dandiya Mahotsav” at Chetakpuri Park, with over 50 participants dressed in traditional attire. The event featured themed dances, including Aarti, Matki Special, and Stick Special, over a vibrant three-hour celebration. Winners were awarded medals and trophies, while all participants received gifts.
On October 2, 2024, FTS Yuva Gwalior organized the Gram Bal Pratibha: Talent Hunt, where over 100 students from 30 Ekal Vidyalayas showcased their talents in dance, singing, poetry, and mono acting. Winners received attractive prizes. The event concluded with participants taking oaths against plastic use and drug abuse, and information on the HPV vaccine and cervical cancer awareness was shared.
FTS Yuva Gwalior is organizing four weekly Shabri Basti classes on 21st & 22nd September, 2024, with a new team member stepping up each week to mentor the sessions. These sessions focus on imparting basic academic knowledge, value-based ethics education, art and culture, fun-filled games, and much more. Children from urban slums are actively participating and thoroughly enjoying the sessions each week, making learning a joyful experience.
FTS Yuva Gwalior “Open Mic 3.0”, a signature fundraiser event, was marked by enthusiastic participation and remarkable success. With 65 participants and an audience of over 500, the event highlighted the vibrant cultural spirit of the community.
On World Blood Donor Day, June 14, 2024, FTS Yuva samity, Gwalior Chapter organised a blood donation camp in collaboration with the Department of Transfusion Medicine at the Cancer Hospital and Research Institute, Gwalior.
On May 26, 2024 (Sunday), FTS Yuva in Gwalior facilitated educational sessions for children from the slums under the Shabri Basti Project. 32 children actively participated in the classes, where they learned about the cleanliness and hygiene, Suryanamaskar, practical science, nutrition, waste management, the National Anthem, and other subjects aimed at enhancing their overall well-being and prospects for the future.
FTS Yuva Gwalior organised ‘Sunday Pathshala’ for children on 12 May, 2024 at Gwalior city. 20 Children took part in the learning cum personality development session. The session began with a prayer and the national anthem, followed by Surya Namaskar, Om chanting, and physical exercises. Shri Rohit Jain taught the children how to introduce themselves and how to express emotions. They were then tasked with writing a story and engaging in drawing activities to foster creativity. The session concluded successfully.
