FTS Yuva Indore organized another enriching session of “Sunday ki Pathshala” with slum kids on July 21, 2024. This special session celebrated Guru Purnima with the children. As always, the session began with Om chanting, the Gayatri Mantra and the Hanuman Chalisa.
The kids brought lovely gifts for their guru, Ms. Ruchi Gupta, who taught them about the significance of Guru Purnima. Ms. Prishita Gupta and Ms. Punya Khemani from The Emerald Heights International School conducted a session on the intriguing topics of “Legal Awareness of Children’s Rights and Education Policy.”
The kids from Nagjhiri village and our slum kids also celebrated International Chess Day, and enjoyed a Chess quiz where the top performers were awarded chess boards and gifts. International Master Mr. Akshat Khamparia from MP generously sponsored the gifts.
On July 7, 2024, the FTS Yuva Samiti, Indore Chapter, completed the Tree Plantation Campaign, Parnshala Series 2, planting 1200 trees in the City Forest with guidance from the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC). This effort significantly increased the city’s green cover and promoted environmental sustainability.
FTS Yuva Samity Indore conducted yoga on International Yoga Day. Many members of the samity joined for this rejuvenating session. The children from the Nagjhiri village also performed Yoga there.
On Sunday, June 9, 2024, FTS Yuva Samity Indore chapter, inaugurated the ‘Shabari Basti Project at Ekal Bhavan, Indore. Members of FTS Yuva samity Indore chapter and volunteers from DC School taught the children of the basti painting, engaged them in recreational games, and presented them with gifts.
On World Environment Day, FTS Yuva Indore held a “Best Out of Waste” competition where children created innovative items from discarded materials, including vacuum cleaners, carom-style games, and photo frames.
FTS Yuva Indore announces the successful launch of “Ek Prayaas – Ek Kadam Unnati Ki Aur,” the inaugural Chess initiative, in the remote villages of Madhya Pradesh. Heartfelt thanks go to FTS Kids member Master Kabeer Gupta for leading the first Chess session, igniting a passion for the game among nearly 50 children. The session commenced with teaching the basics of Chess moves, followed by an engaging Chess quiz where Sonali, Khushi, and Tammana emerged as winners. The children enjoyed it so much and they were keen to learn Chess. They were given Chess notes with a notebook and stationery. Special thanks to Mr. Akshat Khamparia, the first International Master of MP, and MP Chess for their selfless support in sponsoring trophies, medals, and Chessboards, contributing to the success of this campaign.
On Akshay Tritiya, FTS Yuva Indore Chapter launched the Aarogyam Healthcare series, “Aao Banaye Swasth Bharat,” in Nagjhiri village. 70 patients received medical attention, showcasing the pressing need for healthcare in rural areas. Gratitude to Dr. Prerna Garg and Dr. Gaurav Gupta for their selfless dedication. The event epitomized the saying, “For he who has health has hope; and he who has hope, has everything.” The initiative’s impactful success and positive response have inspired them to aspire to expand Aarogyam’s reach and maintain its service to remote communities.
Ekal Carnival Season – 3 was organised in Indore on Sunday 4th February, 2024 by FTS Yuva Indore chapter. The carnival theme was “Back to Root,” celebrating cultural heritage and traditions. The Carnival showcased community engagement & philanthropic endeavors, uniting individuals for a noble cause. Attractions of the carnival were Open Mic Competition, Gram Gati Smart Village Competition, Nukkad Natak, Ramayan Book Launch and many others. The event raised awareness about FTS Yuva’s initiatives, The carnival was a grand success reaching out to over 2000 individuals. Watch the glimpses.
